My Chemical Romance stands as one of the most iconic and influential rock bands of the 21st century. Formed in Newark, New Jersey, in 2001, the band—composed of Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Ray Toro, and Frank Iero—emerged on the scene with a distinctive blend of punk energy and emotionally charged songwriting that quickly resonated to their audience.
Their breakthrough came with the release of their second album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge (2004), which launched them into the mainstream with explosive singles like “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” and “Helena.” However, it was their landmark third album, The Black Parade (2006), that cemented their legacy. A concept album that merged glam-rock spectacle with emo intensity, it delivered anthems such as “Welcome to the Black Parade” and “Famous Last Words,” earning widespread critical acclaim and building a devoted global fanbase known as the MCRmy.
After going on hiatus in 2013, My Chemical Romance reunited in 2019 to overwhelming demand. Their return to the stage has been met with sold-out shows and renewed adoration from fans both old and new. Renowned for their electrifying live performances and a catalogue of songs that are both deeply personal and universally resonant, MCR continues to inspire, heal, and connect audiences across the world.
In 2026, My Chemical Romance makes their long-awaited return to Singapore, performing live at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 10 & 11 November 2026. This will be the band’s first shows in the city in over a decade, promising an unforgettable night of music, emotion, and connection. From blistering riffs to heart-wrenching ballads, My Chemical Romance remains a defining force in modern rock—fearless, uncompromising, and eternally beloved.
